The original 12-story building was converted from a mixed-use clinical building to a dedicated research building. The majority of the laboratory space supports the increasing number of collaborative programs for cancer, gene therapy, and cell therapy research. The open laboratory benches utilized 6” wide structural cores with mobile and cantilevered counter top frames with suspended cabinets. The services were located in the side post giving full utilization of the work surfaces.
In 2008-09 the building was vertically expanded with an additional eight floors of research, vivarium, and an animal imaging center. MGC again provided all the flexible laboratory benches, steel casework, and fume hoods. |
