The Det Norske Veritas project consisted of a new two story building which houses one of the most important hubs in the DNV network with over one hundred professionals working at DNV Houston Energy. MGC teamed with Burton Construction and the architect, Ziegler Cooper with their attempts to obtain the certified LEED Gold designation for their facility. MGC, Inc. provided carpentry, architectural woodwork, solid surface fabrications, stainless steel fabrications, terrazzo countertops and Resin Panel fabrications for a variety of specialty items including reception desks, water features, elaborate break areas and multiuse rooms. A major challenge on this project was the incorporation of curved, counterbalanced and self supporting servery tables and upscale casework assemblies without sacrificing any of the possible contributions to the LEED certification. |
